Job Description
Direct hire maintenance technician openings on 2nd or 3rd shift with a starting pay of $34 an hour. Candidates can either select to work 2nd or 3rd shift on a Monday to Friday schedule working either 3pm to 11pm or 11pm to 7am. Responsibilities
Read, understand, use, and update shop prints and specifications, and refer to manufacturer’s manuals for servicing and installation of equipment and distribution systems.
Determine manpower and material requirements, the means and methods to be used in accomplishing work assignments, and recommend changes.
Prepare and paint surfaces and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
Use tools and test equipment.
Maintain spare parts inventory and order parts as required.
Coordinate with Maintenance supervision when locking and tagging systems.
Observe safety standards and practices.
Observe and assist outside contractors for compliance with standards.
Train new hires/transfers regarding proper maintenance and safety standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
2-5 years of experience with drive trains - belts, pulleys, sprockets, and chains.
Basic electrical knowledge - 110 single phase and 480 & 230 v 3 phase.
Fabrication skills including welding, grinding, and assembly.

Work Environment
This role is based in a very large food manufacturing facility that produces Slim Jim brand snacks. The facility consists of two buildings, one with equipment updated from the 1980s and the other with equipment updated from the 2000s.

This is a Permanent position based out of Troy, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $66000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
