WSP USA Buildings Inc.Job Title: Assistant Consultant, Electrical EngineerLocation: 433 River Street, 7th Floor, Troy, NY 12180Salary: $76,500 / year with Standard BenefitsDuties: Perform a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard electrical engineering and design techniques under the direction and guidance of senior engineers. Work with multi-discipline project teams to develop drawing and specification documents for issuance to architects, contractors and building owners. Attend client meetings Collaborate and coordinate with internal project discipline team members and equipment vendors and manufacturers. Design electrical systems for buildings including lighting, receptable, general, essential and critical electrical infrastructure. Select and schedule equipment. Prepare calculations and specifications. Understand short circuit, coordination, and arc flash calculations. Perform construction administration tasks with assistance from senior staff.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science, or related; 1 month of experience as a Researcher, Engineer, or related *internship experience is acceptable. Experience must include: Providing technical assistance, designing electrical systems, and developing calculations using knowledge in electrical systems, algorithms, and software development. Leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams, coordinating tasks, and achieving project objectives. Designing charging solutions, including developing robotic gloves with pressure sensors.
