Lead Quality Engineer wanted in Detroit, Michigan to Develop and implement Preventative Engineering Quality Methods for effective risk management in the product development phase; Support manufacturing engineering with quality requirements in manufacturing planning work streams, including quality requirements in tools and equipment, measurement strategy, quality control concept, and the design of measurement tools and gauges; Assist in vehicle launches; Plan the use of quality techniques and communicate possible risks; Track daily and monthly meetings with the Quality department; Yard management, safety programs, and all process audit requirements by the product; Create a Quality Plan and ensure that the plan is implemented correctly; Prepare and coordinate documents for project-specific special reports; Ensure that results are achieved at the internal and customer milestones; Project organization; Coordinate and prepare the execution and post review of internal and external audits; Adhere to customer and MSNA specifications as determined by the Program Manager; Comply with requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO/TS specifications; Identify concerns and initiate corrective actions relating to product, process, and quality systems; Initiate preventative and continuous improvement actions relating to product, process, and quality systems; perform quality engineering analysis for new automotive programs; perform quality tasks including KOI's, Hold Cage Control, Control Plans, process inspection records, calibration and gauge control; Perform PPAP and APQP ; Analyze measurements and ensure that proper techniques are used in the organization for decision making; and Perform other duties as required.
