Job Description

The Opportunity

We are looking for someone who:

  • Support agile delivery approach and scrum methodology in the team, which includes leading planning, Kanban boards grooming and prioritization, and retrospective sessions.

  • Good technical and cybersecurity background with an ability to give instructions to a non-technical audience.

  • Coordinate security controls assessments discussions and oversee the implementation of security controls - Define scope and objectives for projects, hold regular meetings to monitor project progress

  • Working knowledge of cloud security practices like IAM Threat Protection, Testing, Information Protection, Governance, and Compliance Management

  • Manage cybersecurity policy management, including maintaining policy content and structure, managing policy repository and communication, policy lifecycle management, communication, developing solutions to rectify policy gaps, and educating policy owners.

  • Drive remediation and mitigation activities, also known as issues management, including root cause analysis and owning the design, tracking, and progress of action plans in partnership with internal business partners.

  • Design and manage program operations to support the program goals and implement and maintain technology to support the program and its operations.

  • Maintain regular, clear communication with project teams, key partners, and management regarding the status of controls testing, audit progress, risk assessment progress, and progress of issues management.

What it takes:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Assurance, or Information Security is preferred.

  • Must have minimum of 2 - 3 years of Technical Project Management experience, focusing on Cloud security and technologies.

  • Must have experience in IT & Security governance, risk and compliance frameworks and practices (e.g., COBIT, NIST, ISO, CIS)

  • Must have working knowledge of risk management, risk assessment, security controls design, and the ability to effectively deliver and present risks and recommendations

  • 60% security technical skills and experience, 40% Project Management experience

  • Advanced knowledge of testing techniques and data analysis principles, as well as the ability to interpret the result

  • Strong written and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse technical and non-technical groups spanning all organizational levels.

  • CISSP or CISM and PMP certification(s).

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

Toronto, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between

$74,270.00 CAD - $137,930.00 CAD
