TD Securities, the wholesale trading subsidiary of TD Bank is seeking a self-starting, motivated and high-performing individual to become a strong contributor in its dynamic technology organization. This is a prominent and complex role that will require the individual to interface with finance, operations, risk management, front office staff and other technology teams regularly.
The candidate should effectively leverage and extend the Valuation Services (VS), Veritas and Capital Studio Services Risk platforms by increasing the product coverage and number of trading desks, integrating with downstream regulatory reporting, risk aggregation and P&L Attribution systems, produce pre-trade pricing, intraday risk, end-of-day VaR, Global Stress, and provide a variety of related services for derived market data, trade data and other related data firm-wide.
The role requires a strong business and technical foundation within Capital markets, specifically working knowledge of IR, FX, EQ and credit products. This role has a strong emphasis on being adaptable and responsive and is very hands-on.

About This Role
The main responsibilities are:
Business Analysis
Provide support and produce detailed system requirements and technical / functional specifications in alignment with standards and frameworks
Work in close partnership with business partners / technology / project teams and stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, communicate and manage detailed functional specifications
Develop effective and efficient solutions by researching/analyzing current state system capabilities and defining technology solutions options / recommendations working closely with key technology partners
Ability to write and execute test plans in DEV and PAT and carry out all necessary tasks required to implement any system change
Ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and presentation materials to support the decision making of executives
Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness, and operational efficiency of the business unit and/or team.
Manage Incremental Change
Manage BAU change to Risk and Capital Studio Services system
Onboarding new products
Managing official curve changes
Provide thought leadership and project oversight for data governance and quality roadmap and implementation activities
Scope, size, and manage data quality implementation efforts
L3 Support
Independently investigate and resolve client support issues.
Resolve any complex issues that cannot be resolved by first-line support
Supporting various legacy system retirements
Miscellaneous
Training new/existing clients and implementation teams on software
Prioritize and manage own workload to deliver quality results and meet timelines
Job Requirements :

Education/Accreditations:
- Required: BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance or equivalent work experience
Qualifications/Skills/Experience
8-10years of experience in a Capital Market relevant role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills to explain and present concepts to technical and non-technical audiences alike
Strong understanding of linear and non-linear interest rate and credit derivatives, Fixed Income, FX and Cash products
Experience using an analytical library, ideally UQL
Executing queries, building use-case scenarios for business requests and small enhancements
Experience with applications such as Calypso, Bloomberg and other Fixed Income market data and trade processing systems is a plus
Enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with competing demands
Knowledge of the software development life cycle and release management processes
Working knowledge of TDS technology platforms, including trade booking source systems and downstream reporting systems
Distinct ability and experience to lead data quality assessment and project implementation work gained through management experience
Experienced stakeholder management through both formal and informal means
Ability to influence outside the area of assigned formal authority; consequently, the person should be diplomatic and exhibit cultural and political awareness.
