Aston Carter SAP Project Manager - Finance in Toronto, Ontario

Description:

JD:

  • Functional Side: SME on projects that are familiar with the current challenges of today that each department faces

  • Dealing with issues on a transactional basis

  • Knowing what issue is on a transactional basis to articulate what that would look like - understands enough finance to take the issues and package it in a way that is appropriate for a system implementation side. Shared services org - understand what that means - why is this a problem? Ask enough questions of our end user why this is a problem - not an expert but need to poke more on this side.

  • Provides large AP automation: Current purchasing system is moving to a new system

  • Contract management, invoice intake, approval process - complete transformation (paper type) manual processing - finance piece moving into ECC to S4HANA - a lot to be leveraged in existing system today - existing challenges address at the P2P level

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Understand our internal processes and act as the voice for the organization in representing our needs with external stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

  • Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.

  • Identify and resolve project issues, mitigate risks, and escalate concerns as needed to ensure project success.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the project team and across the organization.

  • Working with the team to plan and coordinate required change management effort for the organization.

  • Conduct post-project reviews to assess outcomes, capture lessons learned, and drive ongoing process improvements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) required

  • Experience with large scale SAP S4 system implementation strongly preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in a healthcare or hospital environment.

  • Knowledge of Finance and Accounting processes required

  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from conception to implementation.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile or Lean Six Sigma.
