Purpose of Job

  • The incumbent will be working in a cross functional development team responsible for the bank's small business, corporate and commercial cash management system.

  • This is a low value system that supports the bank's customer and business operations with. The incumbent is responsible to bridge business and technology to design reliable technical solutions and processes for diverse user groups.

  • The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in delivering end-to-end software solution. The incumbent should have good knowledge of agile and familiar with Software Development Life Cycle, in addition, it is important to have analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Experience in banking payment system and operations support will be an asset.

Key accountabilities

  • Facilitates collaborative solution discovery sessions using lightweight techniques such as Story Mapping

  • Decomposes the solution into small increments of value (stories) that can be independently built and validated.

  • Works closely with architects and engineers to ensure a flow of stories are specified, engineered and validated.

  • Facilitate collaborative sessions with teams to detail acceptance criteria on stories using practices such as specification by example.

  • Facilitates root cause analysis of defects with the team and ensures that they acts as a catalyst for continuous improvement

  • Collaborates with business stakeholders and product owners to review and accept completed stories and features.

  • Collaborates with team and business representatives to define value and guide priority.

  • Collaborates with the delivery team to define the overall testing approach and perform acceptance testing to

validate business requirements in rapid iterations.

  • Performs exploratory testing and regression testing as necessary, using a risk-based approach.

  • Design and develop the automation testing strategies.

  • Extends story specifications to align with automation testing strategies while including real world data, edge cases etc.

  • Experience in Banking/Financial industry is a nice-to-have.

Education and Other Requirements

  • University/college degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • May be required to enroll in pager support rotation.
