Moneris Administrative Officer - Credit, Mitigation and KYC (Fixed-Term) in Toronto, Canada

Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity

You will perform several administrative credit-based operations including collateral management, website reviews, Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance, and merchant update requests, while providing a high level of customer service.

Contract Term: 6 months.

Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a Hybrid model.

Reporting Relationship : You will report to the Manager, Credit IB.

Your Moneris Career - What you'll do

  • Collateral Review: place calls and request supporting information for reviews in a timely matter. Prepare release forms and escalate requests.

  • Collateral Management: ensure merchants boarded with collateral requirements are set up to agreed terms and monitor collateral holdings on an ongoing basis. Verify consistency of records between internal systems/financial ledgers.

  • Website reviews: evaluate findings, track resolutions, or refer for review.

  • KYC Compliance: gather and validate counterparty legal entity and signing officer integrity with Provincial/Federal corporate registry to meet FINTRAC regulatory standard. Communicate with merchants to obtain documents that authenticate status and update internal systems of record.

  • Work with all partners providing ongoing education and support concerning Credit Policies, Standards and Procedures.

  • Manage daily tasks, following service level agreements.

  • Responsible for ongoing maintenance of procedures related to areas of subject matter expertise

  • Provide training and support to new hires.

  • Credit Updates: manage and create re-adjudication orders, acquiring relevant material for Analysts.

  • Apply negotiation skills to attain collateral from all merchants.

  • Provide back up and support to the others regarding special projects, vacation relief, and peak times volume.

Your Moneris Career - What you bring

  • 1-2 year in an administrative/clerical role where you are managing information

  • College diploma or undergraduate degree (such as business administration) an asset

  • Equivalent work experience may be considered a substitution

  • Previous credit experience is considered an asset

  • Equifax and TransUnion experience an asset

  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows/ MS Office Applications

  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Multitasking, working to deadlines and dealing with flustered customers, negotiating mitigation terms

  • Identify relevant support(s) for resolving issues in the daily operations

  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to interact with all levels of internal and external customers

  • Experience producing accurate work with appropriate turnaround time

  • Manage customer and multi department expectations around processes and response times.

  • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail - a self-starter, proactive and highly motivated
