RB AND G ENGINEERING INC Construction Materials Technician in TOQUERVILLE, Utah
RB&G Engineering, a Utah civil engineering firm, seeks applications from prospective construction materials technicians. Technicians will work at the Chief Toquer Dam site, located in Toquerville, Utah. Starting pay will be $18 - $25/hr, depending on experience. Benefits for the position are negotiable. The expected duration of the position is March 2025 -- Summer 2026.
Job duties may include collecting samples (soil, rock, concrete, asphalt), conducting a variety of materials tests at the construction site and in the on-site laboratory, recording and reporting test data, and performing basic calculations. Construction materials technicians may also assist project inspection staff. On-job training will be provided to personnel hired who do not have past experience in construction materials testing.
Applicant qualifications:
· Valid Utah driver's license and clean driving record (no outstanding DUIs).
· Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and continue to work in a drug-free environment.
· Able to complete on-job training courses which require basic math and communication skills.
· Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the work day (sometimes up to 75 lbs.).
· Integrity, punctuality, a strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
· Current ACI Level 1 or WAQTC Concrete certification and Nuclear Density certification preferred but not required.
