By joining the Centuri GroupSafety,Health,Environmental, andQuality(SHEQ) team, you help us in supporting our operational partners in the commitment to continuous improvement. As a team, we manage the successful implementation of SHEQ programs and are primary contributors to the creation of program standards, safety training, auditing processes, and safety culture. Our goal is to provide subject matter expertise to the business to support our customers’ needs, regulatory compliance, and, most importantly, our employees’ wellbeing.
Reporting to the Manager of Safety & Quality and joining two peer Auditors, you will promote and audit all aspects of the Safety and Quality program to help keep our crew's working safe. You will oversee about 16 crews from the Nebraska to Oklahoma border and will be provided with acompany vehicleandgas cardfor your travel.
What You'll Do
Ensure field operations teams follow all safety and quality policies and procedures
Conduct internal quality control audits, provide incident reports and communicate findings to Leadership
Maintain audit and safety records using the company’s electronic audit tool
Provide on-site job coaching and development
Conduct new hire and requalification training
Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership
What You'll Have
High School Diploma or equivalent
1+ years of underground utility construction or safety/auditing experience
Knowledge of OSHA, PHMSA, and DOT guidelines

Work Environment
Some work is performed in the field at construction sites; field work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
Must be able to sit, stand, and/or crouch for extended periods of time
Mobility required within an office, warehouse and construction site environments
Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
Flexibility to work varying schedules and stay late when necessary
Travel required within the state routinely and out of state occasionally
Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Legal Stuff
Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
