Job Overview:
The Respiratory Care Practitioner provides therapeutic, supportive, and diagnostic respiratory services and care to all patients.
Qualifications:
Required:
Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program
Current New Jersey Respiratory Care License
BLS Certification through American Heart Association
Previous clinical & weaning protocol experience
Reasonable knowledge of respiratory equipment function
Patient assessment skills
Scheduling Requirements:
Day Shift
Per Diem
Essential Functions:
Assesses patients' pulmonary status
Develops plan of care in collaboration with the physician and nurses
Delivers respiratory care to patients
Evaluates treatment and orders/confirms appropriateness and initiates treatments of MDI, HFN, CPT, Aerosol treatment
Participates in monitoring patient care outcomes as established by targets/goals or Performance Improvement within services
Performs other duties as requested
