Tractor-Trailer Maintenance Technician
At AutoZone, our Tractor-Trailer Maintenance Technicians play a crucial role in keeping our fleet safe and reliable. This position involves preventive maintenance, repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. If you’re skilled in electrical, mechanical, and trailer repairs, we want you on our team!
RESPONSIBILITIES As a Tractor-Trailer Maintenance Technician, you will:
Perform preventive maintenance on AutoZone trailers to ensure peak performance and safety.
Conduct repairs on brakes, tires, electrical systems, floors, side walls, and lift gates.
Use diagnostic tools to identify and resolve mechanical or electrical issues.
Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations by completing all required AutoZone and DOT documentation accurately.
Maintain inventory control of the Parts Room to ensure availability of necessary tools and components.
Follow safety procedures when handling equipment, tools, and hazardous materials.
Conduct inspections of trailers to ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience: 1–2 years in general electrical and mechanical repair. Experience with lift gates is a plus!
Preferred: ASE certification.
