Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development and execution of company-wide strategies:
  • Guide and oversee the strategic and business planning process for the 3-Year Growth Plan (3YGP).

  • Collaborate with business units and functions to ensure adherence to 3YGP process timelines and deliverables.

  • Develop MedTech Japan 3YGP integrating business unit and function 3-year plans.

  • Seek alignment and approval of the 3YGP from the MedTech Japan MOC (Management Operations Committee) and APAC (Asia-Pacific) leadership team.

  1. Lead project management of strategic priorities:
  • Take charge of managing projects and initiatives aligned with company-wide strategic priorities.

  • Collaborate with MOC members to ensure effective project management, driving timely milestones and achieving desired outcomes.

  • Foster engagement and collaboration among SLT (Senior Leadership Team) members and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives.

  1. Manage governance of corporate review processes:
  • Organize and facilitate review processes for initiatives related to new business development, acquisitions, external partnerships, and other strategic projects.

  • Track project progress, and report to the Review Committee based on the established corporate review governance process.

  1. Manage governance of Marketing Council and DSM (Distrist Sales Managers) Council initiatives:
  • Oversee and facilitate the governance of initiatives implemented by the Marketing Council and DSM Council.

  • Coordinate meetings and drive discussions to ensure effective decision-making and alignment on prioritized initiatives.

  • Collaborate with council leaders and members to track progress and provide updates on the implementation of council initiatives.

  1. Undertake special projects to drive company strategies and directions:
  • Lead and manage special projects that align with company strategies and directions, such as divestitures and investigations/integration of new businesses.

  • Conduct thorough assessments and analysis of special projects, identifying risks, opportunities, and potential impacts on the organization.

  • Develop and execute project plans, ensuring effective coordination, communication, and collaboration across relevant teams and stakeholders.

  • Monitor project progress, tracking milestones, and proactively addressing any challenges or issues that arise.

  • Deliver timely and insightful reports and recommendations to senior leadership, providing valuable insights and supporting informed decision-making.

  1. Support key initiatives and events led by the President’s Office and SLT

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, Finance, Economics, or any other related business field.

  • Preference for candidates with a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), although a college degree is acceptable if the candidate has equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of professional work experience.

  • Preference for candidates with experience in consulting and/or corporate strategy within the healthcare industry, although it is not essential.

  • Strong background in strategic planning and analysis, market research, competitive intelligence, and/or corporate business development.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong business acumen and foundational knowledge in business finance.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional and diverse teams.

  • Possess a strategic and creative mindset, driven by results and proactive in approach.

  • Self-motivated with a proactive mindset, taking initiative to drive projects independently.

  • Excellent at engaging and collaborating with employees at all levels of the organization, fostering effective communication and teamwork.

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, adaptable to change, and comfortable working across different business units and functions.

  • Effective leadership skills to inspire and influence cross-functional teams and business unit leaders in aligning with corporate strategic priorities.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with advanced/proficient proficiency in Business English.
