The purpose of this role

Education is at a crossroads, with the pandemic triggering digital transformation and creating long-term challenges related to staffing, student well-being, and academic achievement, combined with new and exciting innovation fuelled by Artificial Intelligence – both Primary/Secondary and Higher education institutions must transform to remain relevant, financially viable, and deliver on their missions.

The Education Industry Advisor plays an important industry leadership role in Japan and is a member of the Asia Education Industry Advisor team driving impact in Japan while contributing to learning and sharing best practices across Asia and Worldwide. The role sits in the Asia Region Team, and reports to WW Education / WW Public Sector in Redmond.

Responsibilities include.

  • Creating net new pipeline generation in collaboration with Account Executive

  • Leading industry conversations to expand customer relationships and unlock new opportunities.

  • Originate repeatable solutions for industry opportunities.

  • Accelerate revenue growth, cloud adoption and usage consumption for Azure, Dynamics, and Modern Work.

  • Serve as the Education industry subject matter expert in digital transformation account planning for Priority Accounts in Japan.

  • Proactively continue to build and maintain mutually influential relationships with external senior- and executive-level decision makers and partners, leveraging targeted stakeholders at assigned customer.

  • Leverage industry expertise to help craft and modify prioritized services and solutions that align with customers' needs and innovation-cantered initiatives with an industry narrative.

  • Collaborate with the account team units (ATUs) and internal and external stakeholders/partners to build a pipeline within the industry and territory.

  • Be recognized as a trusted advisor by the customer to shape, lead, and challenge strategic decision makers to act and implement the proposed solutions.

  • Collaborate with the account team unit (ATU) and partners to drive GTM strategy and bring together customer opportunities.

Qualifications

Minimum   qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Health Sciences, Supply Chain, Education, Business or related field AND 7+ years customer-facing experience in Primary/Secondary Education and/or Higher Education, management consulting, consultative selling, public sector, technology or industry-relevant equivalent management or technical work experience.

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Education, Business or related field

  • AND 5+ years customer-facing experience in Primary/Secondary Education and/or Higher Education, management consulting, consultative selling, public sector, technology or industry-relevant equivalent management or technical work experience.
