Microsoft Corporation FastTrack Product Specialist in Tokyo, Japan

The Microsoft 365 FastTrack team is looking for a Security and Compliance Specialist Architect to work with customers leveraging Microsoft E5 Security best in the industry enterprise security solutions. We have exciting new opportunities in FastTrack to solve the most challenging technical blockers for our most strategic customers and to bring the Voice-of-the-Customer to our Engineering and Compete teams based on deep understanding of what our customers need.

The person in this role will get to extend their knowledge across M365 E5 Security technologies and technical areas including Azure Active Directory Premium 1 & 2, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE), Microsoft Cloud Application Security (MCAS), Insider Risk Management (IRM), etc. You will be part of a cross-function modern solution depth team focused on removing technical barriers to achieve successful customer outcomes and driving product improvements into Azure and M365 to enhance the value for our customer base.

Responsibilities

In this role you will work closely with FastTrack Architects, FastTrack Engineers, Product Groups, and commercial customers to remove technical barriers and to reduce customer pain time by providing expert guidance on depth/complex scenarios to drive successful customer outcomes.

You will work across multiple engineering teams (e.g., Security, Compliance, Azure AD, Azure), as well as other internal Microsoft partners to drive improvement into our services and to develop/incubate new FastTrack service offerings.

As a part of the role, you are expected to provide strong business and technical expertise in solving difficult customer problems and turning trends or ideas into high-quality insights and/or best practices to strengthen our products/services, our FastTrack technical community, and ultimately our customers.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Science or other technical field (or related experience)

· 5+ years of engineering program management experience

· Demonstrate working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 E5 Security suite at L300 with ability to ramp to L400

· Experience driving customer product gaps with engineering teams

· Ability to serve as a technical lead to peer architects, create and drive readiness/best practices

· Demonstrate experience leading Microsoft 365 deployments with Enterprise level customers

· Travel up to 25%

· Business level Japanese and English language skills

The preferred candidates will demonstrate the following skills:

· Deep understanding of the security industry and market trends across multiple OS platforms and other competitor platforms such as Crowdstrike and Proofpoint.

· Ability to clearly understand and articulate threat landscape, customer scenarios and the associated engineering requirements

· 5+ years of professional experience as a senior technical resource with regular customer interactions.

· Ability to handle ambiguity and rapid change while continuously delivering an evolving product

· Proven track record of effectively negotiating and collaborating across teams and organizations in matrixed environments.

· Strong verbal/written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
