Description
Amazon MGM Studios is the original content arm that develops and produces film and television for Prime Video, and the Business Affairs team is seeking a Contract Manager who can help continue to grow and evolve our Japanese original slate.
The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete multiple tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance; and react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround.
The candidate will also have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. A high level of competence, integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is key.
Key job responsibilities
A contract manager is responsible for providing contract administration, deal tracking and payment authorization for Amazon MGM Studios deals. Once a business affairs executive closes a deal, a contract manager inputs/updates records, ensures compliance with Amazon’s spending and transaction policy, raises purchase order requests, and informs necessary stakeholders when payment is ready to be made.

Basic Qualifications
Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English
Experience working with internal and external stakeholders of all levels (ie. executives, producers, agents, creative partners)
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and SharePoint
High attention to detail, excellent time management, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Interest in and knowledge of deal-making in television and legal agreements
Familiarity with the local entertainment industry landscape, including producers, production companies, agents and other entertainment entities
