Think Beyond The Label Jobs

Maintain and record quality control procedures and quality assurance; run daily controls, sometimes twice daily on all machines; write monthly quality assurance reports and give to supervisor. Obtain specimens from patients at bedside or in laboratory; explain to patient what is going to happen; will do labs on all inpatients, clinic patients and outpatients. Perform tests in all phases of laboratory (hematology, chemistry, coagulation, urinalysis, EKGs, blood bank and blood gases). Set up reporting results and give to physicians to be put on patient chart; record results in log book daily. Will take call for emergencies on a rotating basis on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
