Examples of Duties

  • Spearhead, drive, and help be the change to our ongoing ERP city wide rollout.

  • Engage in strategic negotiations with key stakeholders to secure project resources and time commitments.

  • Ensure clear and concise communication regarding tasks, milestones, and progress to both the project team and city management.

  • Oversee the tracking and facilitation of cross department al discussions on process changes and workflows that have multidepartment impacts.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in computer science, information technology, business, or a related field; AND

  • Five (5) years of increasingly responsible business systems project management experience working with business requirements, business process documentation, process mapping, or workflow analysis; OR

  • Any satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to the position.

Supplemental Information

Union Representation: This position is not represented by a union.

Important: This position is limited duration and will end on June 30, 2026.

Schedule: 40 hours per week. Tigard is a progressive employer with a 4-day work (Monday-Thursday) week. There is an opportunity for remote work up to 50% of the time .

Compensation: The hourly range for this eligible over-time position is $41.20-$53.87. The starting pay assignment, based on an analysis of the successful candidate’s related experience and education in accordance with the city’s pay equity policy and the Oregon Equal Pay Act, would be no higher than $$48.48 hourly allowing room for future increases to the pay ceiling.

Classification Note:

Physical Demands

Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer; to operate a motor vehicle and to visit various City and meeting sites; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups and over the telephone. This is primarily a sedentary office classification although standing in work areas and walking between work areas may be required. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator and to operate standard office equipment. Positions in this classification occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push and pull drawers open and closed to retrieve and file information. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

Environmental Elements

Employees work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. Employees may interact with upset staff and/or public and private representatives in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures.
