Google Network Engineer, Network Repair Engineering in Thornton, Colorado

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of experience with network routing protocols, design, and troubleshooting with network equipment providers.
Experience in one or more programming languages such as C++, Go, or Python.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with planning and designing networks (e.g., multiple sites, multiple products, etc.).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Automate the lifecycle of the Google global core network repair to reduce the Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), human error, and operational cost.
Partner with software engineering teams to innovate and deliver repair-focused software systems and services.
Build and leverage other repair automation infrastructures from partner software engineering teams to complement and consolidate network repair automation stack.
Provide consultation on setting requirements and defining the design of software applications related to repairing the network.
Operationalize new core network technology so they could be introduced to production for Google to take advantage of next generation features.
