UTHealth Houston School of Public Healthinvites applications to fill an open-ranked tenure-track faculty position at the Houston Campus located in theTexas Medical Center. This position is available within theDepartment of Biostatistics and Data Science.
Position Key Accountabilities:
Responsibilities include methodological/theoretical and collaborative research, teaching, mentorship of graduate students, and service. The successful candidate is expected to teach graduate-level statistical methodology and theory courses, and have experience and interest in statistical applications in any area of public health, biomedical and\or clinical studies.
Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in human genetics, molecular genetics, genetic epidemiology, biological sciences, biostatistics, bioinformatics, or related fields.
Track record and/or strong promise of obtaining peer‐reviewed external funding and publications in the above areas.
Commitment to excellence in teaching and advising graduate students.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong work ethic and enthusiasm for collaborative science.
Experience or expertise in epidemic modeling of infectious diseases for preparedness for the next pandemic is a welcomed skill set.
