McGovern Medical SchoolatUTHealth Houston,a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), non-tenure track Assistant Professor position in theDepartment of Internal Medicine,Division of Infectious Diseasesin Harris County.
Position Key Accountabilities:
The Assistant Professor will be primarily responsible for consultation services for inpatient and outpatient infectious diseases at clinics in affiliated hospitals under the Division of Infectious Diseases at UTHealth Houston.
Teach medical students, internal medicine residents, and/or infectious diseases fellows.
Provide services at Thomas Street Health Center, an outpatient clinic for people living with HIV, and support an OPAT program in an affiliated hospital.
Collaborate to maintain a focus on providing excellent clinical services.
Travel to affiliated employer hospitals and clinics in Harris County.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or equivalent.
Texas Medical License or eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License.
American Board certifications in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases or eligible to obtain.
Three (3) years of residency training in Internal Medicine.
Two (2) years of Fellowship training in Infectious Diseases.
