Commercial Sales Support Representative

The Commercial Sales Support Representative is responsible for cultivating new relationships with commercial contractors while strengthening relationships with existing accounts. Commercial Sales Support Representatives work directly with Commercial Territory Managers and Commercial Products Managers and their accounts. Commercial Sales Support Representatives must be mindful of their reputation – this includes work ethic, willingness to volunteer, go above and beyond, and working with others. Commercial Sales Support Representatives are expected to maintain alignment with the organization and its initiatives. Commercial Sales Support Representatives are relied upon to drive sales efforts through outbound sales calls and responsive service to their assigned commercial accounts.

Resource - A source of information or expertise

  • Maintain alignment within the organization by leveraging sales campaigns and events to become a business intelligence resource.

  • Understand how to sell and be an expert with our unique sales tools.

  • Become a commerical product knowledge expert in every product category. Contribute toward regional goals of product plans.

  • Review Open Sales Orders and Open Credit Memo Reports daily of your assigned Territory Manager(s). Follow up with customers and document conversations in the CRM. Service the order until it is invoiced or cancelled.

  • Quote prices to accounts as needed - verbally and formally through software. Complete material takeoffs and estimate projects.

  • Review Open Quote Report weekly. Follow up with customers and document in the CRM. Continue until the sale is made or the customer rejects the quote. Communicate lost sales to competitors to your Area Sales Manager.

  • Share product information with customers including manufacturer installation instructions, and warranties.

  • Notify Branch Management when an item is sold out or inventory levels become low.

  • Attend SRS meetings, trade shows, industry association events and SRS sponsored events.

  • Compete daily to be the best version of yourself – Continuously Improve. Contribute to making your region the leading supplier in the geographic area.

  • Help your assigned Territory Manager(s) Maintain an average of 30 active accounts monthly. Help Territory Manager’s cultivate relationships with target accounts.

  • Utilize CRM to plan and execute 20+ outbound calls per day. Document important call details. Earn orders through your daily calls.

  • Work with Lead Generation Specialist to help cultivate new customer relationships.

  • Scout the competition and collect information to share with Sales Leadership. Know Your Market– brands, products, stocking position(s), sales policies/practices and operational policies/practices.

  • Assume ownership of your accounts - maintain a sense of urgency with a customer-centric focus.

  • Create and strengthen relationships between customers and yourself through responsive service.

  • Assist with our Credit Team to keep accounts in good standing, including the timely submission of “Ship-To” Accounts, leading to the perfect order to cash sale at our local branches.

  • Field incoming calls with a warm greeting in 2 rings. If necessary, ask permission from a customer to quickly field a call (i.e. transfer or take a message).

  • Promptly write and enter orders with the intention of giving the customer everything they need to complete their job.

  • Accept payment on account for A/R customers.

    Requirements

  • Prior success selling roofing and/or building products in a B2B environment and managing a multi-million-dollar territory.

  • Have a passion for being a business partner to our customer and give them the tools and products needed to increase their sales and earnings.

  • Requires a person who is a self-starter and has great organization and communication skills.

  • Have a valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and reliable transportation for local travel in your territory. There might be occasional travel to the corporate office in McKinney, TX.

  • Authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship for any length of time.

  • Able to pass criminal and driving background check and pre-employment.

  • Bi-lingual – fluent in English and Spanish preferred.
