* Job Description: *
Reporting to the Director, Payroll, the successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll for India including salary employees and interns (students).
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Process payroll changes – new hires, compensation, cost centre, transfers, LOAs, terminations, banking, taxation, deductions in accordance with company policies and in conjunction with HR.
- Balance competing demands and deadlines while ensuring adherence to legislation and company pay policies.
- Collaborate with employees, managers, fellow Payroll team members, HR, Finance, payroll vendor and various government agencies.
- Ensure accurate financial reporting of all pay elements in the GL.
- Ensure compliance - stay current on legislative changes and enforce as required.
- Participate in system implementations and upgrades.
- Assist with various audits – governments, SOX, etc.
- Maintain documentation for payroll processes and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement projects related to payroll processing and reporting.
*SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: *
- Minimum 4 years relevant experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Comfortable – and successful – working in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Proven ability to think ahead, engage proactively and take initiative
- Collaborative, enthusiastic, positive outlook
- Applicant should be tech-savvy. Workday and i-admin experience would be ideal.
