Job Purpose:
As a Logistics Coordinator you will focus on the customer service aspect of the business. Whether it be recognizing issues before they occur or fostering relationships with our clients and carriers. You will be an integral part of our dynamic team and continued growth.
The Logistics Coordinator provides strategic support to our operations, shipping and sales team. This is an hourly, non-exempt position in the operations office and can require overtime when business volume demands.

Education / Training:
• High School Diploma or GED;
• 1+ years of experience supporting Operations, Materials Management and/or Supply Chain functions in a production environment.

Key Job Elements:
• Processes and moves production and other materials into and out of storage, production and other locations to support the flow of production following standard work instructions.
• Monitors work in process;
• Enters sales orders into an ERP system;
• Communicates status of parts and materials using automated systems and manual reporting methods to insure parts availability;
• Identifies and solves problems or discrepancies of limited scope with parts and materials using established procedures or processes;
• Coordinates with shipping department on various functions to set priorities, expedite and complete production activities to avoid schedule delays;
• Works under the general supervision of the Production Control Supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Experience in inventory scheduling and ordering within an ERP;
• Preferred 1+ years of experience supporting Operations, Materials Management and/or Supply Chain functions in a production environment;
• Preferred previous experience in Logistics and/or manufacturing production control environments
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project;
• Customer service background in logistics or planning with ability to build a relationship with the customer and handle problem resolution in timely manner;
• Ability to adapt and work in an ever changing, stress induced changing environment.
