Job Title: Retail Assistant Manager

Department: Retail Division

Reports to: Retail Manager

Dynamic Assistant Retail Operations Manager with a proven record of orchestrating daily retail activities, fostering staff development, and achieving revenue targets in designated outlets. Skilled in implementing strategic initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and enhance the overall customer experience. A results-oriented leader, bringing a hands-on approach to drive success through effective team management and a keen understanding of retail dynamics. 

How I can create Guests for Life:

  • Monitor weekly schedules and time and attendance reports in order to stay within monthly labor budget and ensure that designated outlets are staffed according to customer demand  
  • Communicate resort objectives and general information in each meeting.   
  • Coordinate with Director/Manager, the weekly supervisors meeting and monthly staff meetings to include entire retail department.  Communicate resort objectives and general information in each meeting.   
  • Coach, counsel and discipline staff as needed. 
  • Participate in monthly physical inventories for designated outlets including coordination of staff and resolution of variances and accountable for results with store supervisor. 
  • Make recommendations to the Director of Retail during annual budget preparation and during monthly forecasting exercise. 
  • Analyze product performance using Agilys and Win Retail reports.  Make recommendations to the Director of Retail regarding current stock levels and new trends or product lines appropriate for designated outlets. 
  • Set example for providing exceptional customer service at all times and uphold service standards in designated retail outlets. 
  • Maintain positive working relationships with other departments and work together as a team to achieve company goals.    

Is this the job for me:

  • Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience in financial forecasting and experience with diverse retail merchandise offered preferred. 
  • Must be flexible to work hours determined by business levels and needs of retail outlets, under the direction of Director of Retail. This may include weekend and early morning or late evening work. Possible overnight during inventories.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Work 40 hours a week with two closing nights and flexible schedule.
