Job Description Summary
Grid Solutions delivers reactive power compensators such as Static Synchronous Compensators (STATCOM) and Static Var Compensators (SVC), on which we are the global Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Finland. These systems are used to control power system voltage and reactive power flow as well as to improve the power system stability and transmission system efficiency. You will manage the consolidated financial accounts of the allocated projects and supporting the Project Directors/Project managers and other Site functions as a finance partner.
Job Description
You will have overall responsibility for reporting and controlling requirements of projects, for proper consolidation of project results and for a comprehensive communication to secure consistent accounting and reporting of the projects in terms of detailed scope and responsibilities as follows:
Role / Job Description:
Financial Accountability: Responsible for project finances from contract award to project close-out.
Booking Valuations: Maintaining accurate financial records.
Project Reviews: Regularly assessing project financial performance.
Margin Optimization: Improving project profitability.
Collaboration: Working with Project Managers and Cost Controllers for revenue recognition.
Milestone Forecasting: Forecast trading and billing milestones.
Invoicing: Handle customer invoicing in ERP system.
Cost Control: Monitoring Actual and Committed Costs.
Cash Flow: Forecasting monthly cash movements and follow up on overdue payments.
Claim Input: Providing input on claims.
Booking Accuracy: Ensuring accurate financial data booking.
Audit Support: Assisting auditors, both internal and external.
Project Portfolio: Efficiently closing projects (TECO).
Qualifications/Requirements:
Master’s degree in finance or BBA
At least 3 years of hands-on experience of project finance controlling preferably in an international environment.
Knowledge of project reporting and accounting and general understanding of project business
Knowledge of SAP and MS Excel
Fluent written and spoken English
Knowledge of USGAAP
Attend our Tampere office 2-3 times a week.
