Citigroup VP, Operational Risk Manager - C13 (Hybrid) in Tampa, Florida

The Operational Risk Manager role is to serve as an Independent Operational Resiliency Risk Manager to support oversight and challenge of Citi’s Global Business Services (GBS) and Enterprise Architecture (CEAM) framework and related operational risks.

The mandate of the Independent Operational Risk Management function to oversee Citi’s GBS/CEAM framework is to help identify operational risks to successfully implement and maintain the framework and its effectiveness through a review and challenge program following Citi's Independent Assurance framework. The ORM team also provides oversight to GBS/CEAM development, update, and testing following established business-as-usual oversight models.

Responsibilities:

  • Support development of review strategy, policy and projects related to Citi’s GBS/CEAM framework

  • Apply operational risk management guidelines and procedures for identifying First Line of Defense (FLOD) operationalrisks to GBS/CEAM

  • Pursue continuous improvement and challenge adoption of Lessons Learned to GBS/CEAM

  • Develop and assess a routine for ensuring Change Management effectiveness applied to the GBS/CEAM framework

  • Support Risk Oversight tools development

  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

  • Ensure Risk Governance framework operates efficiently, and operational losses are operating within the defined Risk Appetite parameters

  • Provide challenges on Key Indicators and Material Operational Risks

  • Work with ORM partners and First Line of Defense in the review of the documentation and reporting

  • Analyze, capture, and report risks. Collaborate with ORM and FLOD technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and management regarding all aspects GBS/CEAM

  • Evaluate, advise, and ensure effectiveness of Business and Technology capabilities and controls across Citi

  • Facilitate and disseminate best practices across the pillars supporting GBS/CEAM

  • Assists management in achieving and maintaining strategic objectives, promotes efficiency, reduces the risk of loss and helps ensure compliance with corporate polices, procedures, laws and regulatory requirements.

  • Recommends control enhancements as needed

  • Develops a broad and detailed understanding of the organization’s landscape, culture and technology.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Business Services Framework development, Business Continuity, Technology Disaster Recovery, Operational Resiliency, Third Party, and/or Risk Management

  • Skillful understanding of Business Services lifecycle and relationships with processes and operational assets

  • Thought leadership and clarity in presenting ideas to senior management

  • Proven technical knowledge of resilience and recovery principles and processes, to include up to date knowledge of current technology solutions, including Cloud and hybrid third party solutions

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements

  • Demonstrated analytical skills with follow-up and problem-solving capability

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

$103,920.00 - $155,880.00
