WSP USA CEI Inspector in Tampa, Florida

WSP is currently initiating a search for a CEI Inspector for our Tampa office. Be involved in projects with our PMCM Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact:
Job Description:
Monitoring on-site construction activities
Inspecting ( sampling and testing ) materials in accordance with client’s scope of services (plans, specifications, and special provisions)
Maintaining detailed accurate records of daily operations and significant events
Preparing inspection reports ( Daily Work Reports )
Monitoring and inspecting the Work Zone Traffic Control (in accordance with the client’s requirements)
Transporting samples to be tested in a Department laboratory or appropriate facility
Fulfilling other duties as needed
Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)
Responsible for assisting the Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years of relevant construction inspection experience.
Valid Drivers License
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening
Preferred Qualifications:
CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection (required for inspection of all drilled shafts including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures, lighting structures, and traffic signal structures)
IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level I
CTQP Final Estimates Level I
FDOT Intermediate MOT
Nuclear Radiation Safety
Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification
Program for Inspectors and Contractors
PCC Paving Inspection (TC3)
Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.
