Amazon Sr. Supply Planning Manager, Ring Operations in Taipei, Taiwan

Description

The Senior Supply Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the supply planning process within an organization. This role requires a strong background in supply chain management, strategic planning, and leadership skills. The Senior Supply Planning Manager will also need to collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, logistics, and sales to ensure to have a effective flow or goods and materials through out the Supply Chain.

This role should also have the knowledge with the planning activities based on demand priority, driving contract manufacturer (CM) to commit Available to Ship (ATS) plan, and customer expectations while optimizing inventory levels and minimizing costs. As Ring expands and scales, we are at a phase of building up global process and systems. We are seeking experts in forecast planning and process improvement to participate in the challenge.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Support the team members on supply planning professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and achievement of departmental goals.

  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast and analyze demand, production capacity, and inventory levels to identify potential bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities.

  3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components, and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.

  4. Monitor and evaluate supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and streamline processes.

  5. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and track supply planning performance, providing regular reports and analysis to senior management.

  6. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data to enhance forecasting accuracy and improve overall supply chain performance.

  7. Participate in the development and implementation of supply chain strategies and initiatives, aligning with the organization's overall business objectives.

A day in the life

  1. Manage demand and supply to maximize commitments to meet sales demand

  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Global Demand Planning, Material Management, Factory Operation Program Management, and Procurement Teams to meet the company expectation

  3. Involve analyzing and identifying areas for improvement, devising new processes, tools, or systems to enhance supply chain management.

  4. Lead the team members to the right direction and provide the best effort to enhance the overall process

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of working cross functionally with non-tech teams experience

  • 8+ years of supply chain experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leading large complex programs experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
