Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in either C++ or Go.
Experience with data structures and algorithms.
Experience with systems infrastructure or operating system internals.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with the Google development and production environment.
Experience with development in Go or C++.
Experience working with customers.
Passion for building distributed systems in the infrastructure technical space.

Node Platform owns the services that deploy, protect, configure, and schedule the foundational layers of software, including firmware, operating systems, and the components underlying GCP, for Google’s production machines.

Design, prototype, implement, and test APIs and distributed back-end systems for deploying, protecting, configuring, and scheduling Node Software across Google's production fleet.
Work with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to ensure quality and performance.
Gather requirements from component maintainers, service owners, release coordinators, and other stakeholders, and create innovative tools and solutions to support the jobs of stakeholders and improve key metrics.
Play a key role in the deployment of the latest custom-built Google hardware.
Manage phases of the machine fleet life-cycle, from initial setup to repairs and decommissioning.
