To learn more about the company including a locations map, visit us at: https://www.stella-jones.com/en/inside-stella-jones Position Overview: As the Training Specialist for Stella-Jones, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering training programs to ensure our Utility Pole Division Customer Service and Sales teams are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to provide exceptional service to our clients. This is a newly created role due to the growth of our Utility Pole business and the expansion of its customer service and sales teams. This is a remote/home-based position, ideally based in the Tacoma/Seattle area or the Phoenix metro area. The role involves travel in the US and Canada. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop Training Materials:
  • Design, develop, and update training materials, including manuals, presentations, and online resources, tailored to the specific needs of our customer service department.
  • Deliver Training Programs:

``` - Conduct training sessions for new hires and existing customer service team members on Customer standard process and procedures, product knowledge, communication skills, and company policies and procedures. - Onboarding and Orientation:

``` - Coordinate and facilitate onboarding programs for new customer service hires, providing them with an overview of the company, departmental expectations, and job responsibilities. - Continuous Learning Initiatives:

``` - Identify training needs and gaps in knowledge or skills among customer service staff and develop strategies to address them through ongoing training initiatives. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:

``` - Collaborate with other departments, including Human Resources, IT, Operations, etc, to ensure alignment of training programs with overall business objectives and customer satisfaction goals. - Compliance and Regulatory Training:

``` - Ensure that all customer service representatives receive training on relevant industry regulations, compliance requirements, and quality standards applicable to the manufacturing industry. - Technology Adoption:

``` - Stay abreast of technological advancements and software tools relevant to customer service operations and incorporate training on these tools to enhance efficiency and productivity. - Documentation and Reporting:

``` - Maintain accurate records of training activities and generate reports to track training effectiveness and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Five or more years of Training & Development work experience
  • Proven experience in developing and facilitating training programs, preferably in a customer service and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and training evaluation methods.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively to diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and multimedia tools for training delivery.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Available to travel occasionally in the USA and Canada
