IBM zSW Infrastructure & Licensing Specialist in São Paulo, Brazil

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Identifies, Validates, Qualifies and drives to Closure licensing opportunities.

  • Performs due diligence to complete progression tasks, eg. settlement quote generation, to close license reviews.

  • This is currently a two person team that maintains close communication to ensure consistency in task execution.

  • Leverage data analytics to identify new target opportunities. The primary tools are the zAnalytics report our audit partner Deloitte produces quarterly and the monthly Sub-Capacity Reporting Tool (SCRT) reviews.

  • Participates in partner cadence and Monthly zLicensing Forum calls.

  • Engages WW System z Software Licensing, Techline, Q2C, Dealmakers, MLC and z Software Client Leaders as needed.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Knowledge of z IPLA and MLC licensing structures, including z International Program License Agreement (IPLA) and Monthly License Charge (MLC) pricing metrics.

  • Knowledge of the Sub-Capacity Reporting Tool (SCRT) reporting framework that captures MLC and IPLA Execution-based product usage.

  • Candidate needs to familiarize with the pricing and software inventory tools.

  • Ability to manage tasks independently.

  • Problem solving skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Knowledge of the IBM z Server platform.

  • Prior z licensing experience.

  • Experience with pricing, software inventory and contract tools.
