Amazon Sr. Business Development Manager, Payments in Sydney, Australia

Description

In line of our main strategy of leading innovation, delight our customers, increase payment methods reach and offer affordable benefits; this role will have an objective to secure deals for our customers. They will be responsible to manage working relationships with partners such issuers, banks and Alternative Payment Methods. The role will be accountable to establish heightened value proposition with partners and engage the maximum number of shoppers with our marketing and payments programs to create an affordable payment experience.

Key job responsibilities

• Proactively manage working relationship with existing partners (banks, card scheme, and Alternative Payment Methods).

• Indentify Amazon and partner interest(s) for select events/opportunities. Bank partnerships in terms of defining bank partnership roadmap, marketing promotion construct, agreement singing with partners and raising campaign intake request.

• Build year round joint calendar with key partners, formulate strategic plan, define metrics and measure performance on a regular basis.

• Ability to negotiate preferential commercial and improve cost of payment with partners.

• Explore, evaluate and establish new partners’ channels and alliance requested by product and business team.

• Liaise with product, operation and business team to enhance User Experience with technical providers and financial institution.

• Setup and conduct workshop and training with associated partners to define the value added proposition for the program.

• work thoroughly with legal team to optimize the partnership agreement and reduce barriers resulting lengthy negotiation.

• Initiate regular review with partners’ channels on the program performance and produce productive metrics.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of professional or military experience

  • Experience with business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units

  • Experience working with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize features, and influence product roadmaps
