Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 6 years of experience in network design and network implementation.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in one more more in the following: Content Distribution Networks (CDN), IP transit/peering, dark fiber, colocation, optical transport, and cloud technologies and industry processes.

  • Knowledge of planning and design tools.

  • Ability to identify, breakdown, and solve ambiguous and complex process and technical problems that span across many teams and organizations.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to represent projects from business, product, and technical perspectives.

  • Excellent financial skills (e.g. cost-benefit analysis).

  • Outstanding organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Produce plans that maximize demand admission within product SLO, in line with established standards and minimizing TCO.

  • Produce designs for all active edge devices participating into Production, consistently (e.g., entire network, plan and designs completeness) and reliably (e.g. on time publications and hand offs to the team’s customers).

  • Incorporate NPI solutions into plans and designs. Ensure plan and design toolsets and business processes are ready for intaking NPIs.

  • Evolve the business processes governing the generation of plans and designs throughout their lifecycle (e.g., input gathering, generation, validation, publication, handoff), specifically including the definition of the business policies that govern them (e.g., architectural/topology, hardware lifecycle, capacity/utilization target, failure policy).

  • Drive the automation roadmap of all automatable tasks performed by the team, substantially reducing cycle time and improving quality and consistency.
