Highly motivated Chief Engineer with extensive experience in commercial refrigeration and heat transfer devices industries. Past experiences in developing natural & low GWP sustainable refrigeration solutions from concept to commercialization. He/She will have proven experience in developing and executing product and technology roadmaps, long range and strategic plans. The role will be responsible for the management of multiple projects utilizing cross-functional and multi-cultural teams having multiple disciplines in order to meet annual operating plans. This Chief Engineer will report to the VP, System & Krack and have direct responsibilities for leading leaders.

Principal Responsibilities:

Lead the Refrigeration Systems Design Engineering function including new product development tms, including New Product Introduction (NPI), Non-Traditional Requests (NTR), Sustaining Engineering/Compliance/Engineering Infrastructure for the Refrigeration Systems and Krack Portfolio Solutions.

Design and develop products using the NPI gate process on a cost-effective basis to realize product roadmap objectives in partnership with Portfolio Solutions Engineering Principals for Refrigeration Systems & Krack Products.

Collaborate and influence Product Managers, Program Management, Performance Parts, and Testing & Reliability to implement and execute a world-class product development strategy.

Translate and ensure execution of existing short- and long-range plans for Portfolio Solutions product into team objectives/actions.

Ensure Portfolio Solutions products conform to cost and performance specifications, and that all products conform to local, and regional safety standards and regulatory requirements; responsible for implementing the procedures to ensure the overall product liability and intellectual property activity.

Directly engage with Operations Management and Sourcing Managers to achieve manufacturing productivity and sourcing cost reduction initiatives.

Develop and maintain the annual Refrigeration Systems and Krack Design Engineering budget and ensure that assigned areas operate within established cost controls.

Maintain current knowledge of engineering and foster technological developments that could be useful and relevant to the business.

Manage, develop and provide guidance to the Refrigeration Systems & Krack talented team, providing a positive influence, work experience and career progression opportunity plan Drive standardization within the organization for all engineering information including 3D CAD, PLM related attributes, BOM structure and product specifications

Develops and implements engineering performance metrics, supports implementation and maintenance of global design standards.

Formal Education Requirement:

Required Level: Bachelor's Degree

Preferred level: Master's Degree

10 - 15 years' experience refrigeration systems

5+ years' experience in a leadership role.

Proven Skills include:

  • Multiple projects management at local or remote sites

  • Technical knowledge development

  • Refrigeration design, testing and production implementation, systems analysis, agencies certifications, including safety, sanitation and energy regulation

  • Track record of successful delivering business results and successful introduction of new products and new technologies.
