As an analyst of the Control Management and Optimization (CMO), you will help set the compliance and control management agenda for the partners managed by Global Partner and Operations Support (GPOS)

How will you make an impact in this role?

Our external partners represent American Express and our oversight of these third parties protect our customers. Control Management and Optimization is responsible for setting the agenda within GPOS (Global Partner and Operations Support). We make sure our customers are protected every step of the way when doing business with our third-party providers.

The Control Management & Optimization Analyst will:

  • Support the Risk and Compliance Self-Assessment (RCSA) models.

  • Support the Risk and Compliance Self-Assessment Lifecycle activities, priorities, and requirements including the creation of controls.

  • Lead the mapping and documentation of processes

  • Support governance and oversight activities.

  • Communicate operational risk effectively across organizations regarding oversight activities.

  • Support the testing portfolio for GPOS owned partners.

  • Support the oversight and design of policies and procedures.

  • Educate stakeholders on changes and enhancements driven by operational risk management.

  • Drive improvements and process enhancements; help remove obstacles.

  • Manage multiple projects/ priorities to completion and meet deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Third-party management experience.

  • Process Mapping, Procedure Documentation

  • Risk Management Experience.

  • Project Management, Oversight, Control Management, or Process Improvement experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • Knowledge of Lean principles, Six Sigma or Certifications.

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually bonus benefits
