Google Software Engineering Manager, Data Center Resource Modeling in Sunnyvale, California
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience building and developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
3 years of experience in people management.
Preferred qualifications:
10 years of experience in software development.
5 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
3 years of experience managing engineers.
Experience building the infrastructure ecosystem that supports data center modeling and deployments.
Ability to engage with other teams.

With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$284,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Design and build next generation data center resource modeling platform. Manage the Google wide fleet deployment. Enable future capacity, model the data center and manage the life-cycle of machines in the data center at scale while reducing the total cost of operations.
You will define the goal, roadmap and priorities of the team and identify new areas to grow and expand the team on.
Establish technology and product goals in collaboration with tech leads, partners, clients, and senior leadership. Grow technical talent within the team.
Drive project planning, prioritization, and resource allocation to meet both the long term and short term goals.
