The Role: As Technical Program Manager (TPM) for the Safety team, you will lead internal and external engineering teams through the product execution phases and drive deep-dive investigations into complex issues. You will spearhead cross-functional hardware teams through rigorous investigations, identify root causes, and ensure development teams implement effective solutions. You will be responsible for uncovering patterns and correlations by analyzing data, test results, and technical information. This role will involve reporting critical issues to senior leadership, gaining executive approval, and maintaining visibility across the organization.
Key job responsibilities
Lead cross-functional teams in rigorous investigations to uncover the root causes of complex hardware issues. Manage project teams globally.
Analyze data, test results, and technical information to identify underlying patterns and correlations, diving deep into previous issues and emerging with actionable insights.
Collaborate with engineering teams to replicate and debug issues, leveraging advanced troubleshooting techniques.
Lead leadership reviews and present status to the executive team, following effective escalation processes to ensure resolution of critical issues.
Identify opportunities for process optimization and drive continuous improvement initiatives, showcasing a willingness to continuously improve processes.
Develop and implement scalable processes and tools to streamline issue management and reporting, leading initiatives to build efficient tools and systems.
Foster cross-functional collaboration and ensure seamless communication among stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications
7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
5+ years of technical product or program management experience
3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
