As a Sr. Product Manager - Technical for Kindle, you will be working with a unique and gifted cross-functional team to developing exciting products for our customers. You will have the critical role of leading and driving the hardware product definition for Kindle devices, and shape the product roadmap while driving new features based on this vision.
We are looking for someone with a passion for product making and a proven track record of shipping commercially-successful connected devices with intuitive customer experiences. You are business-oriented and skilled in the development and implementation of a product plan. You will be responsible for capturing, documenting, and communicating requirements throughout all stages of the product family's lifecycle. Key job responsibilities
Lead hardware product strategy and definition for Kindle products
Create buy-in for product vision both internally and externally and evangelize that vision within the organization
Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that affect the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
Develop detailed business requirements that can be used to create product specifications and design
A day in the life
Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that affect the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
Work closely with management, design, operations, finance, and engineering leadership to develop and deliver innovative consumer products
Manage prioritization and trade-offs for customer experience, performance and schedule
Manage delivery of current products concurrently with future product planning
Drive product and feature launches with teams inside and outside of Amazon

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of team management experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing and launching V1 products

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $149,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $258,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
