L.A. Gauge Company Janitor in Sun Valley, California
We are looking for a diligent and reliable Janitor to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in all areas of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and other common areas.
Empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins, and replace liners.
Clean windows, mirrors, and glass partitions.
Maintain cleaning supplies and report inventory needs.
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor leaks.
Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards.
Report any safety, sanitary, or maintenance issues to management.
Assist with emergency cleaning needs as required.
Qualifications
Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred.
Knowledge of cleaning products, procedures, and equipment.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
Good physical condition, with the ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Ability to follow safety protocols and handle cleaning chemicals safely.
Working Conditions
This position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must be comfortable with standing, bending, and repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
