Description: What You'll Do: Reads and interprets blueprints or works from verbal or written instructions or from the part to be copied or fitted.Welds parts as required.Determines specifications for inspection of work, using precision measuring and gauging tools, performing required inspection before, during and after machining.Performs hand operations involved in producing jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies.Uses hand tools of the trade.Able to manufacture simple components utilizing manual machine tools. Fits and assembles jigs, fixtures, tools and dies.Tests dies to produce a product to specifications, tracing die difficulties to their source and correcting same.Assists other tooling personnel in the repair and maintenance of tooling and equipment.May work with product designers and customers providing input to manufacturing capability on newly formed products.Understands and works with hydraulic circuits and components.Repair variety of dies and cavities meeting accuracy requirements determining techniques and making decisions on metals, allowances, mechanism detail, fit and assembly.Attention to detail in performing work, checking work, and documenting to assure quality, under the supervision of the designated associate.Works in a safe and efficient manner with good housekeeping practicesAble to utilize PLEX system to view, follow, and document work instructions.
