Express Employment Professionals Maintenance Supervisor w/ CNC in Sterling Heights, Michigan
Join our client, a global leader in Automotive Exhaust Solutions, as a Maintenance Supervisor. They are expanding their CNC machining facility in Sterling Heights, MI, and seeking an experienced leader to drive excellence in maintenance operations.
Job Summary:
As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead the maintenance team, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and efficiency in the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to the 2nd shift maintenance team (setting objectives, assigning tasks, and offering feedback).
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are being maintained in this non-union facility.
- Repair and maintain over 50 CNC machines. Brands include: OKK, Doosan, Makino, Okuma Howa, Mazak, and Ingersoll-Rand.
- Assist with maintenance and mechanical work as needed.
- Supervise 4 trained technicians, overseeing hiring, appraisals, training, and scheduling.
- Administer collective agreements and company policies, emphasizing safety and environmental protocols.
- Review performance records, ensuring compliance with IATF16949 standards, and provide technical support.
- Contribute to continuous improvement plans and cost reduction strategies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MUST HAVE: Maintenance experience with CNC machines.
- 3-5 years of related experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, preferably a CNC machining environment.
- Leadership skills with a focus on facilitation, coaching, and conflict resolution.
- Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
