Insight Global DoD System Engineer in Sterling Heights, Michigan
Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a DoD System Engineer to join one of our largest defense clients onsite out of Warren, MI in a hybrid role that will be onsite 2 days a week. This person will be responsible for developing architecture and strategies for the implementation of tactical communication systems on ground combat vehicles. They will assist in end-to-end program integration of communication networks throughout documentation, which includes testing and certification, safety confirmation, test, kit procurement, and integration. This person will also work cross functionally with various project management offices to evaluate program acquisition schedules, integration costs, and other requirements across network development.
Other responsbilites include:
Conduct statement of works for vehicle system integration efforts
Developer network architectures for future network capability sets
Develop and present status briefs to PMO offices
$40/hr to $65/hr : Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages while on contract for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Skills and Requirements
5+ years of work experience within vehicle network architecture / system engineering
Strong experience with documentation in Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and DoDAF
Background within C4ISR, C5ISR, tactical networks, and/or vehicles
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance - Active DoD Secret Clearance
Bachelors Degree null
