STANSBURY SERVICE AGENCY OF TOOELE COUNTY Pool Manager in STANSBURY PARK, Utah

JOB SUMMARY

The primary responsibility manages all coordination of pool personnel and pool activities as well as managerial/administrative, facility, aquatic, communication, and leadership duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, enforcing policies and procedures which ensure effective operations of pool facilities including personnel management and training. 
  • Duties involve:
    • all swimming pool operations, including first aid, rotations, scheduling of staff, public relations,
    • Insure hourly employees work no more than (40) hours per week
    • Document & record all disciplinary problems and accidents to the HR in a neat and concise manner.
    • Janitorial duties, pool maintenance (including daily chemical analysis/testing, pool cleaning, filter backwashing), cleaning of bathrooms and concession stand area, swim lessons
    • Money management includes balancing the cash drawer.
    • Instill attention to safety among lifeguards, as well as pool guests.
    • Administer First Aid, CPR, and other emergency and safety procedures, as required.
    • Pool parties
    • Adult swim
  • all other duties as necessary or required. 

* DESIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES:*

  • Able to communicate with guests and staff in a professional manner.
  • Knowledge of the aquatic programs, procedures, policies, and general information; able to effectively communicate such information to guests.
  • Able to swim, stand, walk, kneel, bend over while using hands and feet, climb, and balance.
  • Able to work in heat and sun, and within moderate to loud environments associated with swimming pools.
  • Ability to work with teenagers in a critical position.
  • Able to identify specific sounds such as cries for help and splashing.
  • Able to lift up to fifty (50) lbs.

EXPECTED HOURS

  • Hourly, seasonal position
  • For a total of 20 weeks:
    • May 1^st^ -- Memorial Day as needed up to 20 hours per week
    • Forty (40) hours per week Memorial Day through Labor Day
    • Labor Day to Sept 15^th^ up to 20 hours per week
    • Weekend and evenings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with pool operation.
  • Management experience preferred.

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to the General Manager.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Manual labor is required.  Extreme weather conditions and working closely with chemicals are a factor in this position.
