JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Operation Manager, or the Golf Superintendent performs landscape maintenance duties including mowing, string trimming, edging, blowing, and scheduled clean-ups for assigned job sites.
* ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
Primary Duties:
- Maintain all turf areas; mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing.
- Keep paths and roads free of grass clippings and debris.
- Maintain crisp edges on turf areas and tree wells.
- Operate various types of turf equipment.
- Use personal protective equipment while operating turf equipment.
- Keep the tool area and equipment clean and organized after each use.
- Check gas and oil levels before the operation of the equipment.
- When operating equipment around residents and the public, be professional and courteous.
- Other duties assigned.
WORK SCHEDULE AND WAGE
- Temporary, seasonal employment - 40 hours
- Shifts are:
- Parks: Monday through Friday 7:00 am -- 3:30 pm.
- Golf Course: Monday through Sunday Sun up to sun down
- Starting wage of $17/hour.
- Start Date: April 7, 2025
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be willing to work in all types of weather conditions.
- Detail oriented regarding edges, with specific attention to mowing standards and aesthetics, and cleanliness.
- Able to take direction and work productively with little supervision.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work without direct supervision.
- Must be able to operate mowing equipment in a safe and productive manner.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must be 18 to operate industrial equipment.
