Job Description
Job Summary
The Senior Analyst will assist in developing, implementing, and managing Raymond James’ investor relations program and financial planning and analysis function. This professional will be responsible for providing direct support for activities as it relates to stakeholder interests in quarterly reporting, strategic financial analysis and understanding key issues of shareholders. Reporting to the Director, Investor Relations and FP&A, the Senior Analyst will work closely with the firm’s financial reporting, strategy, legal, and corporate communications teams in understanding financial reports, firm strategy and maintaining consistent communications to all external and internal audiences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and regularly update presentation materials used by senior management in a myriad of investor-related settings
Analyze financial data (quarterly reports, budgets, forecasts, etc.) and regularly perform variance and sensitivity analysis.
Track analysts’ expectations on a quantitative and qualitative basis and highlight significant variances between external and internal expectations. Maintain detailed consensus models.
Support mid-year and annual budget process including workforce planning
Work cooperatively with other internal business partners to create quarterly earnings materials used by senior management to support strategy and messaging when communicating to analyst and investor community.
Collect relevant data required and assist in preparation of financial communications related to quarterly and annual reporting, investor and Board presentations.
Maintain IR’s contact database on a timely manner and deliver periodic reporting to measure the effectiveness of firm's investor relations program.
Track, monitor and analyze performance metrics of industry peer group and support competitive analysis activities.
Understand and track proxy voters and institutional investor guidelines key governance issues.
Support the process of organizing and developing content for annual Investor Day event.
Maintain the accuracy and timely update of Investor Relations website.
Manage various logistical aspects of quarterly earnings process.
Review, evaluate and implement process improvements, as appropriate.
Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Knowledge of
Raymond James Financial business, strategy, and culture.
Intermediate concepts, principles, and practices of finance and accounting.
Intermediate economic and investment management concepts.
Moderate understanding of current financial market and economic events.
Skill in
Deep understanding of financial statements and financial modeling.
Exceptional organization skills and keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong communication skills including written, verbal, listening and presentation development.
Preparing management reports in a format that can be quickly reviewed and understood by management.
