Randstad is looking for certified Marine Diesel Mechanics with at least 2 years of experience for a major Cummins Servicer in St. Petersburg, FL. The ideal candidate for this position will hold Marine Diesel Certification for at least one major manufacturer, completed a Marine Diesel Trade School Program or have equivalent tangible experience. This role is a field service position and you will be provided with a company vehicle, Phone and Laptop. While all field service roles will require some overtime and travel this company strives to have its employees home each night and works within a 7 am to 4pm expectation. Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Driving to local marinas to maintain and repair vessels with Cummins engines, generators, Mercury Zeus pods, and ZF transmissions.
Diagnose and repair Cummins Marine engines
Must be able to perform repairs with minimal supervision.
Occasional travel to other gulf states and the Caribbean will be required
Assist with providing labor and time estimates for engine repairs
Point out other potential repairs that are needed for the engine
Enter time and repair notes into computer
Qualifications:
Excellent driving record
Previous experience as a marine Diesel Technician
Knowledge of computer diagnostics and repair equipment
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
The essential functions of this role include:
working in a non-temperature controlled environment
manual lifting up to 50lbs
