This position exists to maintain the buildings and grounds. Responsibilities include:

  • Clean restrooms and locker rooms and maintain cleaning equipment, supplies, and inventory.

  • Maintain and clean buildings to include but not limited to floors, hallways, office, storage, parking garages and common areas.

  • Maintain windows, skylights, ceilings, lighting fixtures, and walls.

  • Assist with grounds maintenance.

  • Clean and maintain sidewalks and parking lots.

  • Operates, maintain, and makes minor repairs on cleaning equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of different types of flooring/floor covering to determine proper methods of maintenance and appropriate cleaning methods and equipment.

  • Knowledge of cleaning products such as ammonia, bleaches, scouring agents and soaps to appropriately select the agent(s), handle and apply, and dispose of safely.

  • Skill in operating routine maintenance equipment and using hand tools (ex. lawn mowers, trimmers, floor buffer, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with powered snow removal and lawncare equipment.

  • Skill in making minor mechanical repairs.
