Astrin Biosciences has developed a breakthrough method for detecting and monitoring the progression of cancer from a simple blood draw. This has the potential to enable precision therapies that will transform cancer treatment and save lives. For each patient specimen we receive, our test requires the one-time use of several small cartridges that Astrin must produce in-house. As we prepare to conduct clinical trials, demand for these cartridges is growing significantly. To keep up with this demand, Astrin Biosciences is looking to hire a dedicated team of top-notch fabricators to make them. Responsibilities: - Prepare a silicone-based elastomer compound for pouring into specially designed molds - After curing, release the component from the mold, cut to shape, punch portals for blood to enter and exit the device, and bond the component to a glass substrate to complete the cartridge - Conduct a quality control inspection of every cartridge to ensure the device is free of microscopic debris and other imperfections - Label and catalog each cartridge - Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the fabrication workspace - Order supplies and tools as needed - Assist the engineering team with troubleshooting quality issues - Provide recommendations for improving production efficiency and cartridge quality
