The grant assistant plays a critical role in supporting grant managers in various aspects of grant administration and management, helping to ensure the success and effectiveness of grantmaking to an assigned team in the Behavioral Health Division. The grant assistant will manage specific administrative tasks associated with grantmaking and contracting, including communicating with and collecting required documents from grantees, populating specific fields in contract templates, and creating contract workflow in the Contract Integration System (CIS).

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert regarding administrative aspects of the grant and contract process, including compiling, reviewing, and maintaining program records.

  • Assist with the planning and organization of substance use disorder and/or mental health meetings performing administrative duties before, during, and after the meetings.

  • Provide miscellaneous administrative support to team members.

Minimum Qualifications

Two (2) years of experience working with grants/contracts supporting a human services program.

Experience must demonstrate:

  • Working with RFPs which includes collecting, tracking, and scoring.

  • Reviewing supporting contract documents and preparing invoices for review.

  • Skilled at using MS Office Suite programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook along with Adobe Acrobat for creating, reviewing, and editing documents.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures;

  • Knowledge of Behavioral Health programs.

  • Strong organizational skills.
